My chinese elm bonsai has a tan spore on two leaves. Does anyone know what it might be?

I'm not sure what the problem is other than it may be some sort of fungus. Would there be any chance that you could take a closeup photo of the leaves? When Mike comes back online he may be able to shed some light on it. Meanwhile, take a look at the site listed below and see if it looks anything like it.

Nope, I don't think it has the black spot disease. The sporelike things are raise and about 2 millimeters long. One of them has white around it. I'll take a photo when my camera starts working. In the meantime if anyone knows what it is or they think they know what it is feel free to post here.

    ps thanks for answering

hello welcome to the forum i hope we can help you with your problem, i will try to help but with out seeing it, it mite be a little hard to track down so what it sounds like is rust fungus, or it could be just water that dried on your leaves and burned them . if you use fertilizer and you got it on your leaves it will burn your leaves faster then standing water, also if you mist your tree and put it out in the sun you will burn you leaves, but i would say if it was something other then just water burn i would say it was rust fungus, most times it is harmless but if it gets worse then treat it with a fungicide.
