    Jim,
I have a 5th privet that is just sitting around in a bucket of dirt that I don't know what to do with.
If you would like part of it I'd be happy to root it next spring and send it to you.
here's a picture of it. it's not pretty.

That's the one. I have 4 others and really don't plan on ever doing anything with it.

Thanks Sparky, But with me in TX I am looking for more trees that are native to the region. We don't get the cold winters down here. I do appreciate the thought though and thanks. Plus that would be a long why to ship it. I have a few the my new home builder put in I was thinking about trying. There are a few my girl friend doesn't like so I thought I would bonsia them. I know I have 3 veriegated boxwoods and a few others I'm not sure yet what they are. One has small white flowers and small leaves and the bark looks pretty cool too. I would also like to do a TX sage it has silver green leaves and purple flowers. I thouhg tthat one would look cool as a bonsia. I have a lot of ideas that I would like to start next spring.

Seriously? this is a bonsai forum, not the home shopping network. I'm here to learn about trees not rings.

I agree with sparky! If you don't have anything to say about bonsai, you have no business here! This is NOT a sales site, so please leave or we can, and WILL, report you to the administrator and have you blocked! Good day to you, sir!

Well... I think The pine Bonsai I bought for my brother is here to stay. I have had it since September 4th. I went to his house today and saw all of his bonsai trees. All but one is dead. He wouldn't take any one's advice and kept them all inside. He only put them outside when they were all dried up and dead.
I don't want the pine to meet the same end.
