In California, when's best to repot Ficus?

Just wondering when is the best time to repot and root trim a ficus?

Ficus fall into the tropical category and can be repotted and root pruned pretty much anytime of the yr. Treat them just like any other tree after repotting keep in a shaded area for a couple weeks before exposing more to direct sun. Rule of thumb new growth.

If a Ficus Benjamina is kept outdoors, cold weather will keep it dormant. Mine are just emerging from dormancy now. I normally repot them in May and June -- the warm weather stimulates vigorous growth, and gives the best opportunities for top pruning and root pruning.
