    Minimilast sleeping mat

I am on a tight budget, in a hurry, and need something to keep me warm. I was thinking about bringing along a yoga mat and three space blankets. One for below the yoga mat, one between me and the sleeping bag, and one to wrap around myself inside of my sleeping bag in case it wasnt enough.
    Thoughts?

First off welcome to you hope you enjoy this forum

I use to use a sleeping mat that is kinda like a yoga mat It was light and just made it a little bit more comfortably the sleeping on the ground

Space blankets are grate I wouldn't wrap it around myself inside my sleeping bag I would wrap it around the out side of my sleeping bag way more comfortable
The smell of the bush after rain, the solitude and isolation, just you and the track with the birds singing
    the crickets and cicada chirping.

Life is what you make it

if the thermarest pad is too heavy, how about a nice closed-cell foam pad like ensolite? they are excellent at retaining body great in the winter.
in the summer I dont use any pad at all

I got a blue foam pad at Big 5 for like $7 last week. I saw the ones at REI were really expensive..
but anyway, a yoga mat seems really thin to me, I'd go with the blue foam..

I wonder about people who ask for detailed information and never come back.

Try checking out the emergency bivvy produced by SOL, it's made out of a tough PVC like material, and weights in at 8.5 ounces. I carry a few of these since these are very reasonable and better yet, compact.

    Cheers,
