I was driving around the town of Mt. Shasta yesterday just to get familiar with the area. I moved here only 7 months ago, and guess what I found a Frissbee golf park. Has anyone played, I thought it was wayy cool. Anyway off to a store to buy 4 frissbeeies so me and my friends can play. Better practise now so I wont look like a fool come spring and summer. Got to love outdoor sports.
Alice came to a fork in the road, " which road do I take"? she asked.
"Where do you want to go"? responded the cheshire cat.
    " I don't know," Alice anwered.
"Then," said the cat, " it doesn't matter".

Yeaaa disc golf is a lot of fun. They have a course near Bar Harbor out here. Only played once. They are special frisbees Tibby. they are smaller and weigh more than the average frisbee.

Thanks GD, I had no idea there were special disc's. I have a smaller frisbee that I bought at the Dollar store for my dog, but He wont play with it, So I'll use it for practice.

Frisbee golf can be a lot of fun. It's free, so that's a plus. It's a nice social thing people can do even if they aren't good at it. No need to use frisbees. A softball works or just about anything you can throw. To me, it's about fun and not a competion. I occassionally see college kids playing having great conversation and sneaking a bit of beer or something else out of a brown bag. It's what fun is supposed to look like.

Oh yea Gershon, sounds like me and my group of friends, only we dont sneak the beer we play frisbee to get drunk.

Our game (my version we play two different kinds)

Polish Frisbee. Set up two garbage cans approximately 20 yards away. Teams of two, team mates stand at opposite ends behind opposite trash cans. One team mate takes the frisbee and tries to make it in to the garbage can...if you do so thats 3 points and the other team has to drink. The team mate at the opposite end can direct smack the frisbee in to the garbage can...or say if my throw was off...my team mate can smack the frisbee and just hit the garbage can, that's one point. If the frisbee hits the garbage can the other team drinks. First team to 21 wins, and the losing team has to chug their beer. Great fun! We used to play this at car camping sites back in the day.

Another version...take two sticks and stand them in the ground approximately 20 yards away. Balance an empty beer bottle on top of both sticks. The one team has to try and knock off the beer bottle with a frisbee. Again the other team mate can interfere and direct a poor throw towards the bottle. If the bottle gets knocked over the other team must drink.

Sounds like beer ball in the Air Force. To get to first base, you had to drink a beer before getting there.

HA HA too funny.. Actually reminds me of a birthday party that I attended a few years ago at a sports arena for some indoor volleyball where an official "frisbee convention and tournament" was being held. I never saw so many geeks and nerds all in one place that weren't wired to a laptop playing "World of warcraft, the gathering" or something..

    Cheers,

What is your new years resolution?

Its probably pretty useless to make them considering most people break their resolution in two weeks flat, but here goes.

My new years resolution is to eat a more vegetatian diet, no meat at all but I still eat dairy. Sorry , cant seem to get away from yogurt, cheese and milk.

Also work on my running speed, right now I'm at 6mph which is slow for a race but ok for longer distances.
What about you? any changes you would like to make? Come on its kinda fun, and we can even take bets on who will cave first.
