Hi Fellow Hikers,
I am going backpacking in Kings Canyon in August. I think they have a BV (Bear Vault) requirement. I wonder if I should just buy it or Rent it there?
I would like to rent it since it's cheaper. What are your thoughts.

Does it have to be the vault? Or can a bear bag do? My thoughts are probably for the price of renting one you could just buy a bear bag, give or take a few dollars....
