i'm looking for a woman, preferably between the ages of 26 and 42 (I'm 34), but age isn't really an issue, so please respond regardless of age. The real problem is meeting somebody who's into hiking to the extent that when I say I'm planning some long-term and long-distance hikes, it's not really an issue. Frankly, I have a thing for women who don't shave their armpits or other areas, so if you're one of them, please respond! It may sound gross to some women but I prefer to say that nihil humanum a me alienum est! I can't remember which Roman said it, but I don't care. :-)

I'm planning to start a thru-hike of the Appalachian Trail next May. I'm not just another person without experience, since I tried to start a thru-hike in May of 2010. I think May is a great month to start a thru-hike because of the favorable weather. I don't care what others may think of the weather at this time! :-)

Anyway, I'm looking for a female companion willing to undertake the hike with me. I understand that we may break up, as do a large percentage of the couples starting the trails. I'm just looking for someone willing to plan the trip, and plan the failure, such that we end up somewhere in the middle! :-)
