    Cool I have pics of an eastern timber rattlesnake from standish maine

    I was out hiking today and came upon this snake, almost bit me. Thought they were extict in maine, guese not

    Where's the pictures? LOL We have tons of rattlers and copperheads here. I always love to stumble across them while they are sunning themselves on the rocks. Sometimes you have to watch where you put your hands.

    He said he had pics of a snake but did not say he was going to show us. lol To funny maybe the heat got to him?

    Ozark Mountains are great! I miss it, this time last year was in the Ozarks, Mulberry Mountain, for Wakarusa. Such fun!

    Here's a pic of a rattler for you - up close!

    When in the states a few years back I found a few of these in my travels.
    We do snake handling courses around the world, so catch these Western Diamond Back rattlesnakes and other "nice snakes". The rest of the time we use deadlier snakes like Taipans (world's number one) for snakebusters reptile shows.

    Good newz! However, there are peeps out there who'd love to collect the snakes (as bad as killing them, IMO), so I'd be careful to not point out where you found your rattler. I grew up in Western MA near the CT river, and there were t-rattlers. I never saw them, but a neighbor did.
