I have been in Alaska since 1981 and love it! Hiking and backpacking are something I do for or five times a week. We live next to the Chugach Park that abuts Anchorage on the east.
I've done some fairly lengthy treks, not all of them for fun. Every hike has something new to learn. I'm here to enjoy the adventures of other hikers and learn more about what's out there in the world.
My wife, Francine, is an artist (artbyfrancine.com) so, we spend hours on the trails with me walking while she shoots photos from which she can paint.
