I'm getting into backpacking and looking into boots. I'm thinking about a midweight boot. I've been looking into different brands such as Vasque, Merrell, Montrail, etc online but I would really like to try on different boots to check fit and style (high ankle support vs low etc) but I can't seem to find any stores that sell hiking boots.
I went to EMS but they didn't have a great selection. Anyone know of stores in the central NY area?

I'm selling a pair of Nike hiking boots on eBay. I don't know what your size is but these are really good boots. I wear these but in a size 12 and I highly recommend them. Check this out:
