In conclusion I would appreciate suggestions on hiking destinations in Chile. I have done Torres de Paine and would like to go again to some other park.

That is thanx very much. I've hiked for a few days in Nepal around Pokora, in =
Per=FA to Machu Picchu, & did Torres del Paine in Chile a few years back. While I'm a regular hiker, those were hard bu= t not impossible- I'm not overly strong or fast & I'm not far from 60. Until now i'm not about to cross the Andes- but wanna = trek where the views are stuning. I shall follow thru with the parks you mention, and any further assistance will be appre= crisply ciated.

Hi phishin, I wish I had joined this forum ealier. I recently heard about an incredible hike in central chile that goes through the Andes to an airplane crashsite. It's the same site that has to do with a movie they made about some soccer players that crashed there and then had to result to canibalism. I guess that may sound a little morbid, but anyway, I remember seeing that movie. I've heard that the Andes are quite formidable. I'm going to Chile in a couple of weeks and hopefully I can go on that excursion. They have a website, but I'm not sure what it is at the moment. Will try and post later.

I own a hiking adventure company (http://www.wildlandtrekking.com),and we are thinking about doing trips down in South America. We already have one planned in Peru, in the Cordillera Blanca. What would anyone recommend in Chile as a great backpacking adventure that is relatively accessible?
