Looking for fellow hikers/backpackers in/around Utah

I live in Salt Lake City and always find myself hiking solo... not that I mind it, but it is more fun (and much more safe) to hike with a friend. I am also planning to do some backpacking this year- to include Grand Canyon, High Uintas, John Muir Trail, and more if possible. Please let me know if you are interested or if you have suggestions based upon experience with the trails listed. Thanks!!

I'll be visiting John from this forum this May, he's in Arizona but quite far from the Grand Canyon. I'd be interested in going there though! I'm not a super-hiker but I have a lot of will :) I don't really stick with people and I might just go on my own after a day or 2 (just saying...) but it could be nice to share the experience! Let me know when you think of going.
