Hey guys looks what's on his way home http://www.swisslink.com/products/camping_outdoor/czech_portable_shower-3-187/ some might say it's stupid to bring such a thing but it seem to be nice. Any comments?

Well, I guess it's good if you need your shower everyday which is not my case. Also it's quite expensive so I would not bring such a thing with me.
My hiking gear:
-sleeping bag
-soon a bivvy sack
-tarp
-knife
-pot
-dry food
-good shoes and warm clothes
-fire
-a good book, a pen and some sheets of paper

That's about what I bring with me for hikes!

they have some showerbags that you can buy even at walmart. I never got one but I would think they would work decently. Also remember to pack a First Aid Kit just to be safe. And depending on your view on the matter (theres a whole nother thread about it) maybe even a small firearm can be a good idea.... but only for more dangerous hikes/longer hikes.

I do not recommend any type of firearm on a hike. Perhaps those who feel that need would be more comfortable simply staying in their homes.

theres another thread for firearms on hikes, but it is a suggestion if you're in some bear country. though i'd prefer to take them on with my hiking stick. mix things up a little bit on them!

I dont personally think guns belong in the forest, either. you should feel comfortable in the woods. after all, those wild animals DO belong there, and we DON'T! if you feel the need to kill them for simply being in their own natural environment, youre not really a true nature-loving hiker.

I have personally never had a problem using just the solar bags for like 10-20 dollars. Replaceable, easy to find and inexpensive. Weighs less than 1/2 lb. That thing looks awesome, if your not the one carrying it around.

For the most part, I would agree with you. But take that approach in Alaska, the Boreal, UP Mich, even a couple other FAIRLY LOCAL places and there is a good chance you don't make it out alive to show everyone how Nature Loving you are.
