Hang gliders at Mount Nebo

I went to Mount Nebo for the Labor Day weekend. The hang gliders were out in force last weekend. It looks like it would be tons of fun, but I just don't think I could work up the courage to step off the side of the mountain.

Oh, yeah. That looks like great fun to me as well. I would first chose a 'small mountain' - just to get familiar with the idea of jumping of it :laugh:

I work for Arkansas State Parks (Mt. Nebo is one). You may have been there for the annual "Fly-In" which is a good time when the weather holds up like this year. We also allow hang gliding at Mt. Magazine State Park which is even higher. Neither one is a good place to learn and we recommend only experienced hang gliders launch from the parks. Still, pretty cool to go watch.
