Hi all! My first time. Looking for some wisdom and guidance. I just recently outgrew a pair of Vasque Sundowners that I had for 12 years. These fit like a glove and I absolutley loved them! I bought a new pair of Sundowners half a size larger than the old pair. They fit fine in length but they swallow my foot. I tried putting a Dr. Scholls insole under the Vasque insole and it helped a lot. My question is, is there an insole that I can buy to help adjust the volume of the boot or do I just need to leave the Dr. Scholls in place?

Thanks for your help!

I would try some Superfeet - they may help. You can take your boots in to a store and try them out. I always have some on hand on my hiking tours (http://www.wildlandtrekking.com), for just that reason.

FatKat4000, I think every insole decreases the volume of the boot. Buy a pair that's most comfortable and whose thickness is exactly what you need.

Ya Superfeet (http://www.nexternal.com/adventure1/Category56) are great in my experience- I wear mine in whatever shoes or boots I'm in all the time- they also have custom fit ones you make impressions in at a store- similar to the insoles some chiropractors can make for you :)
